The Butte, MT Gondola Project
The Butte Local Development Corporation (BLDC) and the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, in collaboration with SCJ Studio Landscape Architecture, Doppelmayr/Garaventa, and Our Lady of the Rockies (OLR), explored the feasibility of a gondola system in Butte, MT. This project aims to create a vibrant recreational hub with mountain biking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, hiking paths lined with native plants, an adventure playground, and a ropes course. Additional amenities include a restaurant, wedding center, bike shop, and various overlooks, all designed to enhance the natural beauty of the East Ridge overlooking Butte.
