Rusted Retreat
The strong and defined lines of this landscape frame the bold architecture of this vacation home located just outside Crested Butte’s town limits. By teaming with a local metal worker, we were able to repeat the look of the rusted metal siding throughout the site in amenities such as the custom fire pit made from an old boiler and salvaged parts from an old ski lift, custom benches that double as wood storage, and metal edging with a natural patina. Ornamental grasses add structure to the landscape design while perennials add a delightful pop of color.
