Quincho House
SCJ Studio teamed with Deforest Architects to create this unique Magnolia oasis. We transformed this vacant lot into a playful space for the owners to enjoy with their children and accommodate guests. The indoor/outdoor quincho spills out onto a patio complete with an outdoor kitchen, gas fire pit, and built-in swim spa. The concrete patio transitions to a natural stone paver path and more informal crushed stone garden paths.
The building was strategically placed to preserve large native trees which define the character of the site. Native and shade-loving plants create a lush, yet low maintenance garden, while the open lawn provides space for play and entertaining.
